Influential Figures

Several influential figures attended the Council of Nicaea (325 AD), including:

Emperor Constantine

Nicholas of Myra

The bishop traditionally associated with St. Nicholas (Santa Claus), who, according to legend, slapped Arius during the debates.

Macarius of Jerusalem

The bishop of Jerusalem, involved in discussions on Christology and the status of the Holy Land.
